Mormonism and Child Abuse

Child abuse runs rampant in the Polygamist Mormon communities. Children and wives are considered property of the church. They are not to speak unless spoken to. The husbands are considered to be on their way to 'godhood', and therefore are to be obeyed unquestioningly.

Physical and mental abuse is the norm as a means to control the large numbers of women and children. Fear keeps them all in line.  Child sex abuse is also the norm, and always has been.
